Marriage Ministries

Mission Statement

Sequoyah's Marriage Ministry provides married couples with biblical principles and life skills to establish and maintain healthy marriages. We aim to educate, motivate, and empower husbands and wives to cultivate positive, Spirit-filled marriages. We aim to assist couples in every stage of relational development to create a marriage that thrives on commitment, intimacy, and growth. As a ministry, we will, with God's help, prevent bad marriages, strengthen good marriages, save troubled marriages, and restore broken marriages. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13). Our Marriage Ministry encourages couples to grow closer to Jesus Christ and one another as their marriage prospers to the Glory of God.

Goals & Objectives

  1. Facilitate Christian couples supporting and encouraging one another through fellowship.
  2. Create an atmosphere of freedom for husbands and wives to be transparent with one another and develop excellent communication skills.
  3. Demonstrate the importance of prayer by never ceasing in praying for the strength and peace of every marriage in our ministry.
  4. Provide practical tools for couples to build a strong, trusting marital relationship with each other and ultimately fulfill God's plan for marriage.
  5. Unleash the power of Scripture in the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of marriage and acknowledge God as the final authority in marriages.

Our Motto:

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up. Again, if two lie together, they are warm; but how can one be warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him.” - Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
